When Gratz Gallery engaged us to build a new website we found ourselves revisiting a project we had worked on during our first days in the industry - 20 years later.
Owner and head conservator Paul Gratz has been working in art conservation, including frame restoration and gilding, for over 40 years. When his team was looking for a design partner to re-imagine and re-platform the web presence of the gallery, we were pleased to step in and lend a hand once again. Our primary focus was to create a modern and sophisticated design that would compliment the unique artworks that Gratz Gallery is known for acquiring and restoring. We worked through a custom design process, working closely with the gallery team, and implemented smart tools and integrations to solve common issues that arise with media heavy projects.
The new site is built on a stable and responsive framework with a modern content management system that enables efficient, non-technical updates and maintains consistent formatting. We took extra care to ensure the website was flexible, performant, and secure to reflect the care Gratz Gallery extends to each piece of artwork that passes through its doors.
